| SPEAKER'S NOTES Mary Cacioppi, Leasing Director for Walter/Wayne. “Is Your Business Connecting the Green Wave?” The presentation includes information on the science of global warming, what “green” really means, an overview of the LEED process and case studies of the LEED certified buildings. Mary showed us a power point presentation of Waves of Green, starring the Blue Man Group. Being “Carbon Neutral” is goal of many large companies, but no single national definition or standard exists to describe a green company. There are four things we can all do to lessen the impact of energy consumption on our environment. Drive less and smart Change light bulbs Turn lights off. Ditch that plastic. We will be having dinner at Garrett's and go to Starlight Theater for a performance of Evita at Rock Valley College. The charge will be $50.00 per person. We are asking Rotarians to prepay if at all possible, as we have to purchase tickets. A sign up sheet went around today. Please try to attend. It should be a fun evening.
